Semi (also Sehmi, Seami, Seimi) is Jatt Sikh clan originating from Southern Punjab (Malwa) about 40 km south east of Ludhiana, from a small village called TAJPUR near the town of Raekot. Most are from the village of Nawan Pind, inhabiting mostly in the areas of Bathinda, Amritsar and Faridkot. Semis are now well spread through Europe, America, Canada.
